# Apex

> Apex — motorsport glossary term on TRAACKS.

## Definition

The innermost point of a corner on a racing line. Hitting the apex allows a driver to carry the maximum speed through a turn. A late apex delays the turn-in point to prioritize exit speed, while an early apex favors entry speed.
